Traditional country out of Ohio.
Raised on Hank, Merle, and his dad's band.
Born in California, raised on the open fields of Ohio — Jared Walker carries both in his music. With a natural presence that commands a room and a voice built for wide-open spaces, he's the kind of performer who walks in looking like he belongs: worn denim, a flannel rolled to the elbows, boots that have seen some miles.
His father played in The Dirty River Band — blues, rock, country, all of it. At 17, Jared joined him on stage, picked up acoustic guitar, and found a voice that was unmistakably his own. He gravitated toward the artists who never faked it — Elvis Presley, Dwight Yoakam, George Strait, Willie Nelson. Songwriters who told the truth.
"Songwriting is a hundred percent therapy. When you let those emotions flow, that's when the real songs happen."
— Jared WalkerHis new single "I Can't Love Anymore" is exactly that — the sound of a man who gave everything he had and came up empty. It follows "Runnin'" and his debut "Down On The River", the upbeat 90s-flavored anthem born from summers spent fishing and boating.
